On Thursday, May 30th at 10:00, join us to learn about the important role K-9s play in environmental conservation and safety with special guests Environmental Conservation Officer Matthew LaCroix and Webb, his K-9 partner.
Programs are geared for families with children in Kindergarten – Grade 6, but other ages are welcome. Free parking is now available on Main Street until 11:00 a.m. for Lake Placid/North Elba residents with a parking sticker. Join us as we welcome author and playwright Calvin Alexander Ramsey for a read aloud and discussion of his children’s books. The Bookstore Plus will be on hand with copies of Calvin’s books for sale. Back by popular demand, create and record an original song with RiverJack Z!
Michael Albert is a pop artist who makes collages using cereal boxes and other recycled cardboard packages. This workshop is for families with school age children, but other ages are welcome.
Treat your favorite ‘stuffie’ to an afternoon of reading and creating. Learn to hand sew or knit and leave with a beautiful blanket for your cuddly companion.
