A student poster contest for Lake Placid Community Clean-Up Day

Organized by the Rotary Club of Lake Placid
Eligibility:
● Open to any student or homeschooler residing in the Town of North Elba or the Lake Placid School
District.
Submission Guidelines:
● Artwork must reflect the theme of community clean-up and environmental care (e.g., picking up litter,
recycling, nature preservation).
● Must be submitted on the supplied poster format.
● Any traditional medium is allowed (crayons, colored pencils, markers, or paints).
● No digital artwork or AI-generated images.
● Artwork must be original and created by the student.
How to Enter:
● Submit posters by April 9th.
● Return completed posters to your homeroom teacher or drop them off at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town
Hall (2693 Main Street, Lake Placid).
Categories & Prizes:
Little Kids (Kindergarten – Grade 5)
🏆 1st Place: $20 gift card to The Bookstore Plus
🥈 2nd Place: Chocolate from The Candy Man
🥉 3rd Place: Free ice cream cone from Stewart’s
Big Kids (Grade 6 – Grade 12)
🏆 1st Place: $20 gift card to The Bookstore Plus
🥈 2nd Place: Chocolate from The Candy Man
🥉 3rd Place: Free ice cream cone from Stewart’s
✨ Grand Prize: The overall winning poster will be featured in all advertising for the event!
Announcement & Display:
● Winners will be announced on April 10th on the LP Community Clean-Up Facebook’s page.
● Selected artwork may be displayed or featured on social media.
Additional Notes:
● By entering, participants grant permission for their artwork to be shared publicly.
● Artwork will not be returned unless arranged in advance.

Author Visit : Calvin Alexander Ramsey

Join us as we welcome author and playwright Calvin Alexander Ramsey for a read aloud and discussion of his children’s books. The Bookstore Plus will be on hand with copies of Calvin’s books for sale.
