Crochet Workshop: The Year of the Snake

  • Learn how to make amigurumi, crocheted stuffed animals, by making a snake in honor of the 2025 Lunar New Year.
  • Some knowledge of crochet will be helpful but isn’t necessary.

Crochet a Mesh Bag

Monday June 17th, 10:30-12:30

Farmer’s markets are in full swing, and what better way to pick up your produce than in a hand-crocheted market bag? We will be making one in miniature so that you will have a chance to learn the whole process from start to finish. You will also be provided with a pattern for the full-size bag and the option to check out a kit with your library card. Materials will be provided, but you can bring your own if you would like.

Bring your own small craft and come have a cup of tea and work on your project in the library. Examples include: knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch. Erin will be working on a Tunisian crochet project.

Learn to Crochet a Basic Granny Square

Come learn some crochet basics and make a granny square or two!
It’s great way to use up odd bits of yarn. Since squares are worked individually and can be combined to make almost anything, it’s a great portable project for waiting rooms or long trips.

Materials will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own hook and yarn if you prefer! Adults and teens welcome.
