Colors of the Wild: Live Animals on July 29

Join us at 10am or 1pm for this live animal program with the Vermont Museum of Natural History.

Explore the differences in animals’ visual experiences and how plants and animals make use of sight and color.

Celebrate Bambi with Us!

Please join us in giving Bambi a proper farewell! Bambi has been the Director of the Lake Placid Public Library for the last 10 and a half years. She is now moving on to her next big adventure!

Please join us on Friday, June 27th as we celebrate her throughout the day! Feel free to stop in any time during the day to wish her the best. We will also be sharing cake and cookies at 4pm. We are so grateful to Bambi for all she has done for both the library and the community!

Color Our World with Flowers

Join us at the library on Tuesday, July 15th for Color Our World with Flowers! This is a read aloud and discussion with a floral designer and includes hands-on activities. Each child will create a centerpiece to take home. For ages 3 and up.

Learn the basics: Crochet

Monday April 7, 3:00 – 5:00

This will be a class just about the basics. If you’ve never crocheted before but would like to learn, this is the class for you!

We will cover chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, increase and decrease. There won’t be any specific project to complete, but when you leave you will have the skills you need to try your hand at scarves, granny squares, or amigurumi. Materials will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own.
